Home Office Organisational Map

A plain-English view of how the Home Office is organised, built only from information the department has itself published or disclosed.

OFFICIAL DATA

Where this comes from

The Home Office publishes staff organograms listing senior posts, their reporting lines and the size of the teams beneath them. PublicAudit loads that data as published, keeps the wording of the original fields, and shows clearly where information was withheld or simply not supplied.

Two things to read carefully

  • Salary Cost of Reports is not a person's salary. It is a published field about the salary cost of the staff reporting beneath a post. The largest disclosed figure runs to tens of millions of pounds — £74.76m — which is a team cost, not an individual's pay.
  • "Research target" does not mean wrongdoing. It means PublicAudit has chosen that area for further work using public records and FOI.
