Limitations and gaps

- The request sought all directorates, divisions, departments, units and teams, but the response supplied only six top-level directorates.
- Recorded descriptions of each directorate’s responsibilities were not supplied — the Insolvency Service stated it does not hold them.
- The schedule was limited to primary information assets after the original request was refined under the Section 12 cost limit.
- It should not be presented as the agency’s complete Information Asset Register.
- No primary assets were listed against Finance and Commercial. This does not mean that directorate holds no information.
- The response uses slightly different versions of “Corporate and Operational Services” (also written “Corporate and Operation Services”).
- Question 6 of the request mistakenly referred to organisations reporting through the Attorney General’s Office. The response therefore does not establish whether any bodies are sponsored by, accountable to or report through the Insolvency Service.
